Plateau Discovery Gardens Tree ID Walk

I have copied the email from Bev and the Cumberland County Master Gardener Association as you may be interested.  This will qualify as CE hours.

The long awaited dates for the two guided walks through the wooded area near the Plateau Discovery Gardens are the 12th of October and the 27th of October.  Both classes will start at 9:00 and last until approximately 11:30, at the latest.  Students should meet at the deck area behind the building, and should be dressed for the weather we have that day.  Of course, they need to be able to do a little walking.  Jennifer is taking reservations, and class is limited to 24.

Please call or email Jennifer at 484-0034 or jburns35@utk.edu to confirm your preferred date to join Sid Morgan as he points out and teaches us how to identify the various trees growing here on the Plateau.

If you are more interested in planting a tree or two in your Landscape, now is the time to do that! You may want to join a Classroom discussion by Janet Dowlen on October 1st at 10 am This classwill be held at the Country store  location at the Fairgrounds on Livingston Rd in Crossville. Again, contact Jennifer using the information above to
add your name to that list.
